Returning Students

Welcome Back - We Missed you!

Students smiling at desk with laptopsReturning / re-admit applicants are students who were once enrolled at USCB, but have been absent for one or more terms (summer semester excluded).

Admission Requirements

Students who have attended another college since leaving USCB are considered for readmission based on their entire academic background. Applicants for re-admission must also meet the same requirements as transfer students. Readmission to the University and to the program in which the student was previously enrolled is not automatic. Applicants must:

  • Pay the $10 nonrefundable readmit application fee
  • Submit official transcripts of all college-level work attempted during their absence from the University

Returning After a Suspension

A student who leaves the University on suspension must apply for readmission upon completion of the period of suspension and qualify for readmission to the major program requested. You must also submit a letter requesting for a petition for reinstatement. The petition should be completed by students who have served the suspension time or students who are attempting to be reinstated prior to serving the suspension time.

If a student attended another institution while suspended from the University, they must maintain a satisfactory average at that institution in order to retain the privilege of being considered for readmission at the conclusion of their suspension.  Effective Spring 2022 and moving forward, courses completed at institutions outside of the USC system during the period of suspension may be transferred to USCB provided the courses meet the criteria for transfer eligibility.  Credits earned outside of the USC system do not impact a student's Institutional GPA.
